CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS

Haxby Bakehouse will be open between Christmas and New Year for the first time this year to ensure our loyal customers don’t go short of bread, pastries and pies during the festive season.

Tina and Phil are taking the Christmas and New Year weekends off to put their feet up with the family, but will open the Bakehouse doors in between. As well as our amazing bread, we’ll be selling award-winning Voakes pies (pork; poultry & stuffing; game and black pudding & red onion marmalade), plus our amazing deli selection, top cheeses, Yorkshire Crisps, store cupboard staples and foodie treats.

Get out of the house and head our way to top up with all the goodies you need to make the in-between festive period extra special. We look forward to seeing you!

Christmas ordering at Haxby Bakehouse

Make Christmas tastier without the stress by ordering in advance from Haxby Bakehouse. We’ll reserve you the best and you’ll just have to come and pick it up. What could be simpler? Choose from:

• Our fantastic range of artisan bread
• Hampers pre-made or made to order
• Home-made Christmas cakes
• Charcuterie/ deli platters
• Cheese boards
• Voakes award-winning pies (pork; poultry & stuffing; black pudding & red onion marmalade; game) and sausage rolls.
• Wilson’s small pork pies (plain; pork & black pudding; pork & apple; pork & chilli jam)
• Staal smoked fish and chicken
• Hand-made chocolates from White Rabbit Chocolatiers

The deadline for ordering pies is Saturday 12th December and please order everything else by Friday 18th December. Let us know when you want to pick up but remember we’ll be closing at 3pm on Christmas Eve. Order forms are available at the shop, or just give us a ring on 01904 765878.

We’ll pick the best charcuterie and cheeses (you choose or leave it to us) to make an impressive platter to suit your budget. We selflessly taste-tested the best pies and sausage rolls in the region so you could lay on a top festive spread

Our hampers can include anything from our store. As well as our freshly-baked bread, bread dippers and other products, you can take your pick from speciality condiments, biscuits, chocolates and ingredients from all over the world. We also have lots of foodie gifts to make anyone’s Christmas extra special.

Top it off by presenting foodie gifts in a unique cotton Haxby Bakehouse gift sack (£5) or bag (£12.99), printed exclusively for us in New Earswick by Mrs Hall Makes.

Christmas hampers – the perfect foodie gift

Looking for a different gift idea to make someone’s Christmas? A personalised foodie hamper packed with treats and ingredients from the Haxby Bakehouse is probably just what you’re looking for.

You can make your own hamper by picking exactly what you want from our shelves to make the perfect unique gift. Choose from gorgeous chocolates,  teas and coffees, biscuits and a choice of the finest ingredients to make special dishes from around the world.

We also have pre-made hampers for sale to inspire you. The tea-lover in your life will swoon over our selection of award-winning condiments, Rooibos tea, White Rabbit chocolates, shortbread rounds and marzipan fruits. If coffee’s more their thing, special roasts, coffee syrups, biscuits and complementary chocolates will make brewing up extra special.

We’ve also put together Italian hampers, containing Yorkshire Pasta, cooking sauce, dried mushrooms and antipasto treats. Our Indian-themed hamper includes specialised ingredients from Rafi’s spicebox, so you can gift the perfect curry in a box.

A Yorkshire hamper would be hard to top, in our opinion. Pack it with chutneys from Nether Poppleton, Malton’s Roost coffee, Yorkshire crisps, charcuterie from Ilkley, pickles and conserves from Mercers of Wetherby, cheeses from all over God’s own county and fish from the Staal Smokehouse, Long Riston.

If you’re buying nearer Christmas, add freshly-made items from our delicatessen, like locally-made pies, quiches, sausage rolls, heavenly cakes and morning pastries. If you want to throw in some festive fizz or beer, nip next door to the Tipsy Fox off-licence. And of course, don’t forget to top off your hamper with the greatest gift of all – Haxby bread!

Story so far….in pictures

Our shelves are filling up with Christmas gifts with a difference – from foodie treats to cute stocking fillers and more. If you’re looking for something a little bit different, come along and take your pick.
