Whether you’re shopping for a breakfast set-me-up, a tasty lunch or dinner party fare to impress, you’ll find lots of ideas at our counters crammed with cracking food to go. We also make fantastic coffees and teas.
This is the place to come for savoury pies and cooked meats made by the region’s premier producers. We stock hand-made pies, Scotch eggs, sausage rolls, pasties and pork pies from Wilson’s of Huntington, Voakes of Whixley and Thornton’s of Easingwold.
Top independent butcher and charcutier Lishman’s of Ilkley supplies us with award-winning charcuterie including Yorkshire Chorizo and Yorkshire N’duja. We also stock smoked fish and chicken from the acclaimed Staal Smokehouse near Beverley, and eggs from Brown Eggs of Scarborough.
If our shop-local credentials aren’t impressive enough, score a zero food miles purchase from our delicious, ever-changing selection of cakes, tarts, flapjacks and bars, baked daily on the premises by Sophie Smith of Bakehouse in the Barn.
We’ll set you up for the day
As well as bread, we also bake fantastic morning pastries like pains au chocolat, croissants, morning buns and pains au raison. Plus our popular focaccia with a variety of toppings. They’re all snapped up quickly so worth setting the alarm for!
Choose from our ready-made sandwiches with mouth-watering fillings served on a variety of Haxby breads. Don’t forget one of our fabulous coffees or one of our many varieties of tea.
Our cheese counter is a trip around Europe’s best, from fabulous local producers in Swaledale, Snowdonia and Lincolnshire, to specialities like UK-produced fetoliva and several varieties of goats’ cheese, plus top quality cheeseboard staples like brie, stilton, Gruyere, Manchego, Jarlsberg and cheddar. Complement them with luxury chutneys produced by Mercers of Wetherby, a variety of pates, pickled walnuts and gherkins from Opies and a wide selection of crackers, flatbreads and crispbreads.
