Welcome to The Haxby Bakehouse.

York's artisan bakery. All the bread we bake is made using traditional methods of slow fermentation. We use low yeasted overnight sponges, natural sourdough levain or a combination of the two. This means the bread we produce is full of flavour WITHOUT the use of any artificial flour improvers, preservatives or emulsifiers.

All the bread is made with organic flour produced by Yorkshire organic Millers, Stringers of Driffield and Shipton Mill

When we’re open

We bake Tuesday through to Saturday

Tuesday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm, Saturday 8.30am - 5.00pm

York Farmers Market is the first friday of the month in St Samson's Square
Please come & support your local producers.
York deserves and surely must be able to support a thriving farmers market made up of local producers.
